I am truly grateful for all the sixth grade students. Each students comes to school and gives their best effort. Many students have been learning how to become more independent. The sixth grade class of 2016 -2017 will definitely be ready for middle school. Peace, Miss V
Sixth grade students helped kindergarten students get ready for the Hour of Code. Each kindergarten class got a visit to setup and run Course 1 from code.org. Many of the kindergarten students were eager to work on the ipads with a sixth grade student. Many of our sixth grade students had to display patience and kindness as they taught kindergarten students how to log in and code. Our students showed great leadership and problem-solving skills when working in Kinder Buddies.
Students worked hard on finalizing their Traveling Around the World projects. In this last stage, students created a screencast of their presentation. Each student creates a personalized scree cast of their presentation. The screen cast is saved on their drive and then share with the teacher. Many students exclaimed how weird their voice sounded. Other students mentioned that they did not know how easy it is to create a screen cast. Overall, everyone was working hard to get these projects done.
Room 4 worked hard this month to reach their AR point goal. Students read and take AR test to collect points. Students are expected to get 9 AR points per month to earn a pizza hut voucher as part of the Book It.
